24h POKER REVIEW
24h Poker belongs to Entraction Operation Ltd. a Malta based company which is licensed and regulated by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta. The third party auditor behind the software’s RNG is PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The company is an EU licensed one which means that – according to their website – EU citizens will enjoy tax-free winnings at their tables.
The site has seen a rather impressive growth since 2004-2005 when it ran a TV ad campaign.
The software used by 24h Poker is the Entraction software. If you’re looking for graphical excellence, you haven’t come to the right place, but then again, graphics is for fish and assuming you do not regard yourself as one, the simplistic graphics of the Entraction interface will likely not set you back one bit.
The software itself is decent. There are all sorts of statistics and options available and the pace of the action is alert enough as well. I’ve heard/read other people complain about stability issues with the 24h Poker software, but I haven’t personally experienced any unpleasant glitches in this respect. Such problems were probably sorted out through updates.
The bottom line: it’s not the best piece of online poker software ever produced, but it’s not bad either and it does the job and at the end of the day, that’s the only thing I personally care about.
Player traffic was an issue for the site for a while, but that too seems to have leveled off a little lately. There are currently more than 300k registered players at 24h poker and there are 4,500 players at the tables, so finding competition on just about any Holdem stakes/buy-in levels is not likely to be a problem. Things may be a little different at the Omaha/Stud tables, not to mention some of the more exotic poker variants that the site offers like Soko, Americana and Telesina.
As you can probably tell already, game selection is excellent at 24h poker. All the usual poker variants can be played as well as a bunch of other games you may not even have heard about.
In terms of fish, the site is much better than some of the other – more popular -destinations. Due to the ad campaign they ran a few years ago, many of their players joined on account of TV ads they saw…nuff said.
The tournaments offered by 24h Poker run the usual gamut of buy-ins, although you shouldn’t expect to find $1 million weekend guarantees here. There are cool WSOP, EPT and EMOP qualifiers however, some of them as cheap as €2, so that’s awesome. Those looking for high prize-pools may find the Monthly €100K Special attractive.
As far as promotions are concerned, the site isn’t shabby at all. All the industry standard promos (like the refer a friend bonus and the various daily and weekly special tournaments) are there, plus a whole bunch of rake races, VIP point races and live qualifiers on top of them.
Reload bonuses are available from time to time too. 24h Poker uses the contributed rake calculation method to determine its players’ individual contributions to the rake.
24h Poker is a great place for rake races. Every month, there's a new rake race or two and just because you sign up with us, you'll get a 30% rakeback deal too (or a 40% cashback setup) depending on which option you prefer. The cashback deal is better suited for high volume players. Make sure you contact 24h Poker support after sign-up to let them know which option you prefer.
24h Poker rakeback is transferred directly into your player account 2 times a month (on the 1st and on the 15th). Cashback is paid out once every month.
Players who join 24h Poker and make their first real money deposits, will receive a 100% match on it up to a maximum of €500. The sign-up bonus requires a minimum deposit of €10. In order to redeem the bonus, players will be required to generate 100 VIP points for every €10 batch.
Players have 32 days from the exact time of their first deposit to unlock their 24h poker bonus.
24h Poker support is reachable through email. The deposit methods accepted by the site are the usual ones (WebMoney, Neteller, Bank Transfer, debit/credit cards). We recommend Moneybookers.
