Every Saturday starting December 1st, losing with certain hands becomes extremely profitable at Betfair. The reason is a simple one: if you happen to lose holding red pocket jacks on the river, you'll be entitled to receive 30 times the amount of the big blind as a consolation prize. If you lose with black pocket kings on the river, you'll be rewarded with 40 times the big blind. If you lose with an Ace of spades and an Ace of diamonds on the river, you'll get 50 times the value of your big blind. The promotion rewards players out of a prize pool of $20,000. The promotion ends when the price pool runs out.
