Purple Lounge presents one of the most interesting rake-related promotions in online poker: their $20K Deep Purple freeroll.

This is a monthly tournament taking place on every second Saturday of the month and granting access to all those who played at the poker room during the previous month. Not much originality so far, but check this out: the starting stacks players are given will be directly proportional with the number of days played at Purple Lounge.

Thus, he who plays between 1-5 days gets 2,000 chips. Players with more than 20 days under their belt get the max 10,000 chips. A day of play is defined as two hours of play at the tables. Don’t get smart, multi-tabling doesn’t divvy up the time between the tables.
