Software: Merge

Member of the Merge network, Iron Duke Poker is one of the smaller skins, currently endowed with a limited number of players.

While you’ll only find about 5-600 players at their ring tables at US peak hours, and a few thousands in tournaments (focused mainly on small-buyin tourneys and freerolls) they certainly have potential since they accept U.S. players too.

The quality of the competition is average, if you’re a good enough player, you’re bound to find some value here.

While currently they do not offer a sign-up bonus, they have something much better: a flat 30% rakeback for all cash games, paid into the player’s real money account on a daily basis.

That’s right, no more waiting around for your money, it’s like instant gratification.

The Merge network has always had some pretty peculiar rules regarding rakeback, and in that spirit, here we go again:

- you will only qualify for rakeback on Iron Duke, if you don’t already have an active account there.
- furthermore, if you are earning rakeback somewhere else on the network (Poker Nordica) you’re not accepted as a rakeback player here, only if you’ve been doing it for less than 60 days.
- if you do have an active account (non-rakeback one) with some other Merge Network member, you do qualify, but only if you haven’t played for longer than 60 days there.

Because – as said above – rakeback players get no sign-up bonus, they are compensated by receiving entry to some pretty generous prize-pool freerolls.

An interesting feature at Iron Duke is their outstanding game selection. Holdem, Omaha and Stud are present as always, but they also have Razz, Triple Draw and Badugi.

Their support is excellent, available via e-mail and live chat.

They also support a large variety of online payment options like Neteller, Moneybookers etc.
