Pinatubo
I consider Pinatubo a variant of Manila, one that was invented in order to make the game suitable for No limit and Pot limit play. Because the number of the betting rounds involved in Manila, it doesn't play well at No limit at all. Just think about it, a player with a bottomless pocket (all right that's only possible in theory, but let's consider someone with a WHOLE lot of money) will be able to bully everybody out of the game.
This is why Manila is never played No limit.
Pinatubo, however, solves the predicament by eliminating one betting round from the game, namely that between the third and second community cards. It achieves this by dealing two community cards at once, after the first one is posted.
One betting round shorter, Pinatubo plays pretty much the same as Manila from there on. This includes the rule that every player needs to use exactly two of his three hole cards and exactly three of the cards from the board to make his/her showdown hand.
