EUR 3,000 Casinos Austria Poker Tour Sponsorship
Innsbruck may not sound much like an exotic location (especially not for European players) but wait till you get a load of what it hosts on May 10th-11th, 2008: a live poker tournament sponsored by Casino Austria, which will probably feature a prize pool in excess of €5 million.
It’d be great to take part in it, wouldn’t it? And how great would it be if someone else were to pay for the whole thing instead of you? After all, the buy-in to the tourney is EUR 1,900 + EUR 100, and that is no small change by any standards.
Well, there is a possibility to gain a full or a half sponsorship during February and March, by playing on one of several online poker sites in on the gig. What you need to do is sign up to one of these sites (follow our links in the table below), and fulfill their rake requirements.
The packages will be worth EUR 3,000 each, and will include the buy-in and EUR 1,000 for expenses. These are the sites you can play at for the sponsorship, and the conditions you’ll have to fulfill:

Players qualified for the sponsorship package may be required to wear special apparel assigned by the sponsor.
Packages are not transferable. They’re not cashable either under normal circumstances, but if the beneficiary comes up with a plausible excuse, EUR 1,500 may be paid out. In case there are no seats available, EUR 1,500 will be paid out to qualified players.
If someone qualifies for half sponsorship, he’ll need to present the receipt for the seat he’s bought in the C.A.P.T., in order to claim the money.
